PE week 4

Hey Fit Kids! and families....
Last week we had a new experience with parachute play.  While it was fun, it created an opportunity for this week's blog about respect and responsibility toward our equipment in class.  We experienced some very unnecessary roughness with the parachute and it may not make a re-appearance.
The co-op has purchased hula-hoops for this class - they are durable, but not unbreakable. Once they get bent or crushed, they could become unserviceable.  We will be using plastic balls, laundry baskets, jump-ropes, buckets...a variety of items for play.  And while I can appreciate normal wear and tear, I also would like to see some care and respect taken for our class equipment, as well as my own personal items.  Please discuss this with your PE students.
I love spending this time playing with your students, but all this motion and activity requires cooperation and respect towards each other and our equipment.
Please remember sturdy shoes and your water balls for this weeks class.

PE week 3

Hey fit-kids!  Last week was so fun, let's do it again!
Something new for tomorrow - we will be staying in the fellowship room for class.
As always, remember good sturdy shoes - no sandals.  And don't forget your water bottle!

week 2

Hey Fit Kids!
I hope you had a great time playing last week.  I did!  Families, Amber Keeners father donated a re-usable water bottle to all our PE students this year - thank you Amber and dad!
This will make it easier for all of you to remember your water.  Please try and remember to wear sturdy sport shoes - no open toed shoes.  This is for your own safety.

This week we are going to focus on our jumping skills - get ready to move!  Think one legged hops, two footed jumps, jumping jacks, jump ropes, bunny hops...what else can you think of?

PE week 1

Hey Fit Kids
Welcome back to school.  This is our first day of class, and the first thing we are going to do is take a hike around our new school site, and find out what kind of space we have to work with.  Inside, outside, grass, playground?  What kind of things can we do in this space?  I don't know - we can discover together. And, you can help us decide!  Remember, good supportive shoes and a water bottle!  See you Thursday!

Hey Fitness Lovers!  I hope you are ready for another great year of PE.  Just a few reminders....
please bring/wear sturdy athletic shoes.  No sandals, boots, dressy shoes.....this is for your own safety!  Please wear play clothes that fit properly - it is hard to play when you have to hold yer pants up or yer dress down!  Please remember to bring a water bottle to every class.  We will be doing some yoga this year, but I will let you know when you need to bring a yoga mat.
